Low-Cost Bike Program

This program is similar to our Change a Tire, Change a Life program, except it does not require a referral letter. You can qualify by showing proof that you are currently receiving or participating in any of the following:

    • Work Programs / SNAP Education and Training
    • Refugee Resettlement Program
    • TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)
    • SNAP/EBT
    • CARTA Low-Income ID Program
    • Medicare or Medicaid
    • Disability Benefits

Other important things to know before you stop by:

  • Low-Cost bikes are $25 and are typically single-speed cruisers with pedal-back brakes. Want a bike with gears and hand brakes? Check out our Earn a Bike program!
  • We provide one Low-Cost bike per year, per person. If your bike gets stolen, you cannot get another.
  • There is no guarantee that we will have a Low-Cost bike available when you stop by (they tend to go quickly). They are first come, first serve. Feel free to call or email before you come to see if we have any Low-Cost bikes available.
  • You must bring a lock with you when you pick up your bike. Don’t have one? We sell high-quality u-locks for $10.
  • We strongly recommend the use of front and rear lights at night. We sell rechargeable, waterproof sets for $15.
