About Us

Second Chance Bikes (est. 2018) provides affordable and no-cost bikes to folks in the community with the help of our fantastic volunteers, staff, and partners.

Since we began, our team has gotten at least 1500 adults and children in need rolling on free bikes into brighter futures, and we’ve fixed up and distributed nearly 500 affordably priced bikes to folks through our Bicycle Thrift Store.

We were born out of a former chapter of Bikes for the World (est. 2015), but once the local need for safe, reliable bikes was recognized, we switched gears and officially became Second Chance Bikes and a registered 501(c)3 in 2018. Our founder was Paul Keefer, and our previous executive director was Chris Clark. Their guidance and passion have been instrumental in getting us to where we are today. Thanks guys!
