We think that every child in our community should be able to experience the magic of owning a bicycle, which is why we have a Free Bikes For Kids program.
In 2021, we partnered with Closet of Hope, Charleston Hispanic Association, and other organizations in our community to distribute 341 free bikes to kids in need! As of mid-October of this year, we have already given over 60 children in need free bikes, and plan to give away another 75 to 100 this upcoming holiday season. We need volunteer help to get these fixed up, so if you or your group is interested in joining us for a fun, rewarding volunteer session, please get in touch!
We require parents/guardians or authorized representatives of partner organizations to fill out our online form to request a free bike from us. As indicated on the form, we currently only have certain sizes of bikes available. Our online form includes this and other important information, so please review it carefully before filling it out. Thank you!
Want to help us fix up bikes for children? Of course you do! You don’t have to be a bike mechanic, we promise. But if you want to learn some mechanic skills, we got you covered. Come volunteer with us!
Don’t have time to volunteer? You can still support our work and help get bikes to children in need by making a donation. Every dollar helps!
